Hello and welcome to Thunderhead Farms! We launched our farm in 2012 and spent 5 years providing wholesale items to restaurants and grocery stores until we decided that providing our fresh and dried peppers directly to customers was a better way to connect to the food community. For the past few years we have connected with that very same community through our pepper club, pop-up events, holiday gift specials, and samples—lots of samples—to family, friends, random foodies, and guests at our Airbnb. In 2019, our only connection to wholesale was part of an edible New Mexico “Green Chile Cheeseburger Smackdown” entrance with Steel Bender Brewyard with three of our peppers—winners—and a continued supply of our Hot Rub Base for wings and everything on their menu at 377 Brewery—foodie cult following. But about those samples we shared—we received an overwhelming response of “We are sold on the spices & rubs, now how can we buy them?!?” Finally, we have built our website for customers all over the country to purchase Thunderhead Farms spices, rubs, and coming products!
